Fleabag actor Andrew Scott played the role of Max Denbigh or C, in the James Bond film Spectre.
It was released in 2015 and became a blockbuster hit, having gross earnings of $900 million worldwide.
Scott shared in an interview, that at the BAFTA event, he was asked to work in a Bond film when he had already worked in Daniel Craig’s 2015 movie.
The actor was offended that the audience did not remember his performance in the film. He recalled in conversation with The Guardian,
“At the Baftas recently someone was like, ‘Oh, you’re the hot priest from Fleabag, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge is writing the Bond film, will you play the villain?’
I thought, ‘Didn’t they see me in Spectre?’ That’s showbusiness! So, no more villains for me for a while.”

Daniel Craig quit the role of Bond in 2021 after his last film, No Time to Die released in 2021.
There are numerous speculations about who would take his place and become the new secret agent.
Scott was asked if he would like to play the role of James Bond in the franchise. The actor shared,
“I don’t think I’ll get asked to play Bond. They’ll not be like, ‘Let’s get Scott in.’ I find it extraordinary that people are so infatuated. I say people.
It’s mainly just journalists. I don’t think people are at parties screaming, ‘Who’s going to be the next Bond?’ They won’t announce it until 2022, so it will probably go to some whippersnapper who will surprise us all.”
Daniel Craig quit the franchise after five Bond films from 2006 to 2021.

Scott played the villain in the James Bond film Spectre. However, he feels that he let himself become a little intimidated by the magnitude of the franchise.
Scott shared that his fear reflected in his performance, and he could not give his best.

“I found it difficult to be in that film. I think I could have just been a bit better.”
“I think I allowed myself to be a little intimidated by the budget and the history of the franchise, and I don’t think I attempted enough to be original.”
Though the actor did not give the best performance in the film, still as per Scott, offers stacked for him for a variety of projects.
