Sylvester Stallone is currently auctioning off some of the most prized watches in his collection, including two made famous by appearing in his films.

Sylvester Stallone is an Academy Award-nominated actor, most famous for playing the action roles Rocky and Rambo, and he is also a longtime watch collector.

He plans to sell five famous watches at a Phillips Auctions event organized with Bacs & Russo.

Instead of focusing on traditional brands like Rolex or Patek Philippe, Stallone has become a prominent collector of more contemporary brands, like Panerai and Richard Mille. 

The five watches he plans to auction include four Richard Mille watches and one Panerai.

Stallone especially loves Richard Mille’s watches, famous for their advanced technology, techniques and materials. He will auction off one of the rarest Richard Mille watches, the RM 25-01 Adventure Tourbillon Chronograph. 

This is a watch model born from the collaboration between Richard Mille and Stallone, to answer the question: “How would Rambo wear a watch?”

The watch has a tourbillon for increased accuracy, a chronograph for tracking elapsed time, a compass with removable bezel and carbon cap, and a lever for increased compass precision.

Richard Mille is only producing 20 of this model watch, and Stallone is expected to fetch between $250,000 and $500,000 at auction.

The watch case is made of TZP ceramic and carbon nanotubes, with the movement made of skull-shaped bone.

A bright green RM059-01, one of 50 watches produced in honor of Olympic sprinter Yohan Blake, will also be sold with an estimated value of $300,000 to $600,000.

A Richard Mille watch that Stallone wore in “The Expendables 3” will also be auctioned with an estimate of $60,000 to $120,000.

Perhaps the most famous watch being sold is the Panerai Luminor, which Phillips calls “the most important Panerai ever sold at auction.” It is PAM5218-201, expected to sell for between 40,000 and 80,000 USD.

 Stallone wore the watch in the 1996 film “Daylight.” The appearance catapulted Panerai to fame and put the brand on the world map among watch collectors and buyers.v
