His most well-known rivalry is with The Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger, who duped him into doing a poor film.

The rivalry dates back to the 1970s when Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger broke into Hollywood’s elite and often pitted against one another.
Rambo star Stallone revealed he couldn’t stand to be in the same galaxy for a long time after Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, one of his biggest flops.

Stallone said on The Jonathan Ross Show,
“We couldn’t stand to be in the same galaxy together for a while. We truly, truly loathed each other. He’s quite clever.”
“He goes around town saying, ‘I can’t wait to do this film…’ I go to my agent, ‘Get that thing away from him. Get people options on me.’I got it and said, ‘What a piece of s**t this is.’ He goes, ‘Ha ha ha!’ At least I wasn’t pregnant in the film Arnold. We’re even.”
There was a competition between Stallone and Schwarzenegger to claim one another’s film roles when Stallone heard Schwarzenegger wanted the role in Stop!
Or My Mom Will Shoot, he immediately set up a meeting. Schwarzenegger was playing with him, in any case.
Stallone said in the interview, “I had heard Schwarzenegger was going to do that movie, and I said, ‘I’m going to beat him to it.’”
Rambo star added, “I think he set me up.”
A Hollywood Reporter article recently revealed Schwarzenegger’s epic cinematic prank, which had long been considered an urban legend.
The Terminator star revealed it and said,
“It’s 100 percent true. In those days, we did crazy things to get ahead in our rivalry. Luckily for us and everyone else, we root for each other today. “
“Thank God, because we sure don’t ever need another Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.”
In 1991, both men became financial backers of Planet Hollywood when it opened, burying the hatchet.
Together, Stallone and Schwarzenegger starred in the first three parts of The Expendables, Escape Plan in 2013, and they are good friends now.

Hollywood Reporter James Hibberd interviewed the Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone, and he asked during the later part of the interview, “Speaking of Arnold, you have been friends for a long time. When you meet up, what do you talk about?”
Rambo star spoke highly of his friend and said, “Arnold’s very wise and he loves to talk about philosophies that have got him to where he is.”
He continued, “It’s good to talk to a man who has put his money where his mouth is, and he’s achieved that.”
He also said the pair only sometimes discuss serious topics despite this. Rocky star said they often goofed around, laughing about the days when they couldn’t stand each other.
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger have had incredible journeys. Their iconic rivalry became an iconic friendship, and they now encourage one another.
