On Thursday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will be in Wisconsin to face off against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Before the game, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the team plans to sign Kai Jones to a 10-day contract.

Via Charania: “The Philadelphia 76ers plan to sign F/C Kai Jones on a 10-day contract Friday, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Jones, the 19th pick in 2021 NBA Draft, returns to the league after being released by Charlotte in October. High-upside flier for 76ers in the 6-foot-11 athlete.”

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski also confirmed the news.

Via Wojnarowski: “The 76ers are planning to sign ex-Hornets center Kai Jones to a 10-day contract on Friday, sources tell ESPN.”

Jones was the 19th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Texas and has played two seasons in the league for the Charlotte Hornets.

He has career averages of 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 56.7% from the field and 23.8% from the three-point range in 67 regular season games.

Since Jones is only 23 years old, he still has a lot of time to develop into a rotational player.
