Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton is wanted in connection with a domestic violence incident.

A Florida sheriff’s office has put out an arrest warrant for the NFL player, who has been accused of aggravated battery. According to records from the sheriff’s office, Sutton is wanted on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation.

The warrant from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office notes that the player is likely driving a Jeep Grand Wagoneer bearing plate number FL-AZ33QB. Anyone with information on his whereabouts has been encouraged to call 813-247-8200.

Sutton played in all 17 games for the Lions last season, making one interception and 65 tackles while adding one forced fumble and six passes defended.

Sutton Spent Six Years In Pittsburgh Before Signing For The Detroit Lions

Before signing a three-year, $33 million deal with the Detroit Lions, Sutton spent six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft on the back of his career in Tennessee.

The player earned an invite to the Senior Bowl that year and didn’t do his prospects any harm after putting his versatility on display, with scouts watching, slotting in at both CB and safety during the game.

He helped the South clinch a 16-15 win over the North as he led his team with four combined tackles.

He then went on the NFL Scouting Combine, where he completed all drills, save the short shuttle, which he opted out of. He went through it at Tennessee’s Pro Day, however.

Sutton was ranked the 15th-best CB headed into the draft by ESPN and most analysts predicted he would be drafted in the third round, which turned out to be the case.

The Lions will urge him to turn himself in to the authorities following the posting of said warrant.
