Giants Sign Superstar LB Brian Burns To Monster 5-Year Extension After Blockbuster Trade With Panthers & Fans Are Losing It
During a chaotic first day of 2024 NFL free agency, the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers agreed to a blockbuster trade that has Brian Burns taking his talents to the Meadowlands.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Giants acquired the star pass-rusher in exchange for second and fifth-round picks. Burns then agreed to a lucrative five-year contract worth a max value of $150 million.
The Burns trade and immediate extension sent X/Twitter into quite a frenzy, to say the very least. If you’ll recall, Carolina rejected the Los Angeles Rams’ offer of two first-round picks for Burns ahead of the 2022 trade deadline.
