MIAMI, FLORIDA – NOVEMBER 17: Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills reacts after throwing a touchdown pass to Dawson Knox #88 against the Miami Dolphins during the second quarter at Hard Rock Stadium on November 17, 2019 in Miami, Florida.
The Buffalo Bills have found a new offensive weapon for star quarterback Josh Allen.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bills are signing veteran wide receiver Curtis Samuel to a three-year deal worth a max value of $30 million. The contract carries $15 million in guarantees, Schefter added.
The cap-strapped Bills have bid farewell to several key players in the early stages of the offseason, including Davis, Mitch Morse, Micah Hyde, Tre’Davious White and Jordan Poyer. In losing Davis, GM Brandon Beane needed to move quickly to secure a No. 2 receiver, and he just might have found his man in Samuel.
In his 7-year career, Curtis Samuel has played 52.1% of his snaps in the slot and 45.0% out wide.
He can do a little of everything…same as Shakir…same as Diggs.

Samuel completed a three-year deal with the Commanders that was signed back in the 2021 offseason. The former Carolina Panthers star surpassed the 60-catch and 600-yard marks in each of his final two seasons with the Commanders.
Samuel’s best season came in 2020 with Carolina, when he compiled 77 receptions for 851 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 200 rushing yards and two rushing scores. Samuel has posted over 700 yards of offense in three of the last five seasons.
The Bills are coming off another disappointing postseason exit, having been eliminated in the AFC Divisional Round in each of the last three years. Davis was never quite able to fill the role as the No. 2 wideout to Stefon Diggs, but we’ll see if Samuel is up for the challenge in Buffalo.
