The Miami Dolphins are reportedly looking to bring in a veteran wide receiver this offseason after what was a disappointing playoff experience in 2023.

Mike McDaniel’s squad showed lots of promise during the regular season but routinely failed to win their biggest games despite having two of the best wide receivers in the NFL in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, and their season came to an abrupt halt when they met the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round.

They’re now retooling to make another run at the AFC, and possibly the Super Bowl, with a particular free agent believed to have emerged as an attractive prospect amid their search for another offensive weapon.

According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, Odell Beckham Jr. is commanding some interest from the Fins, who are said to “really like” him.

The 31-year-old played for the Baltimore Ravens last season but is a free agent again. While he spent the entire 2022 campaign without a team before eventually ending up alongside Lamar Jackson, Beckham isn’t expected to remain in free agency very long this time around.

The way Jackson sees it, Miami could offer the player a deal at some point this offseason.

Beckham is well aware that he is no longer a No. 1 option at this stage of his career but he could still offer a lot playing in a less significant role, like he did with the Los Angeles Rams. He showed flashes of previous form while with the Ravens last season and has put plenty of other teams on notice.

The veteran wideout may very well find success with the Dolphins as Hill and Waddle will demand lots of attention from opposing defenses, which would leave him open to more opportunities.

On Miami’s end, Beckham presents very little risk despite his age and injury history as he can no longer command a huge contract or long-term deal.
