The Los Angeles Lakers faced the Atlanta Hawks on Monday where the Lakers’ rising star Austin Reaves had to face a humiliating moment. Hawks star Jalen Johnson dunked on him and everyone in the arena was amazed by it.
Reaves was asked about the embarrassing moment after the game and he appeared to be salty while answering the questions. In addition to that, a Lakers insider berated Reaves for getting posterized by the Hawks star.
Austin Reaves reacts to Jalen Johnson dunk
In the Lakers vs Hawks game, Austin Reaves had to become a victim of an embarrassing moment after Hawks star Jalen Johnson dunked over him. The dunk was the perfect poster moment for Johnson and a vicious embarrassment for the Lakers star as Johnson’s crotch hit Reaves in the face when the Hawks SF rose over his head to score.
Reaves has been one of the most hyped youngsters in the league for a while. He had never faced such a moment in his career in which another player was able to dominate him in such fashion on the court.
When Reaves was asked about the incident he appeared to be a bit salty. “Everybody seen what happened… You do not want my view,” said Reaves about the dunk. The Lakers star was not very happy, and it is quite natural a response.
Austin Reaves is a very competitive individual who doesn’t like to be on the victim’s side. He has gained a lot of fans and supporters since his debut in the league and is now among the hottest players in the league which many teams are after.
Reaves credits Jalen Johnson for first poster over him
Austin Reaves recently did a post-game interview where he initially appeared to be a bit salty for being dunked on. However, the Lakers star credited Jalen Johnson for his poster dunk on him and credited the Hawks star on his play.
“I think that might be the first time I have ever been dunked on,” said Reaves.
“So, I made it for a long time without being very athletic. Picking my spots to get out of the way. I tried to take charge. I do not know. He (Jalen Johnson) is a super athletic kid, and he got one. The longer I play this game, I am sure it is gonna happen again. So, I am not too worried about it,” added Reaves to his previous statements. The dunk seemingly hit Austin Reaves on his ego, and he would likely try to get one back on Jalen Johnson in the next Lakers vs Hawks matchup.
What do you think of Jalen Johnson’s dunk on Austin Reaves? What do you think of Reaves’ statements in the post-game interview? We are eager to hear your thoughts, so drop down in the comments and let us know.
