McElhenney announced his bid on social media

Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce expressed excitement over an NFL auction featuring a limited-edition Eagles letterman jacket signed and modeled by his wife, Kylie Kelce.

Actor Rob McElhenney announced his bid on social media, with Jason and his brother Travis discussing the bids on their podcast.

Rob McElhenney's gesture that thrills Jason Kelce: he's offering $35,000 for Kylie Kelce's signed Eagles jacket

McElhenney initially bid $10,050, later increased to $20,000, and the auction on the Eagles Autism Foundation website eventually reached $35,000, making it the highest bid on the site.

The jacket, retailing for $400 and made by Mitchell & Ness, features the Eagles’ old-school logo, mascot, and Kylie’s autograph.

Kylie showcased the jacket on the Eagles’ Instagram, receiving positive feedback, including a comment from brother-in-law Travis.

“Killin it Ky!!” Travis wrote.

Similar jacket to the one worn by Princess Diana

The jacket’s design is reminiscent of one worn by Princess Diana in 1994, a gift from the Eagles’ statistician Jack Edelstein.

Princess Diana’s connection to Philadelphia dates back to her friendship with Edelstein and her attendance at Princess Grace of Monaco’s funeral in 1982.

The jacket has gained attention in the context of the Eagles’ return to kelly green uniforms, featured in a recent ESPN segment. The auction, set to close in eight days, may see further bidding for the iconic jacket.
