In Taylor Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department , the audience discovered that the song thanK you aIMee was written for the singer’s ‘enemy’, Kim Kardashian. The song’s title also has only 3 capital letters, forming the word KIM. Immediately after this discovery was posted on social networking platforms, the reality TV star lost more than 100,000 followers on her personal account and this number is still on the rise.

Not stopping there, in Kim’s posts, fans of the singer born in 1989 flooded in and left comments on the name of Taylor’s song. This shows that the female singer receives immense support from fans and her idol’s enemies are also their enemies.

In the song thanK you aIMee, Taylor Swift talks about a high school bully who had ‘bronze tanned skin’. This detail is also describing Kim Kardashian with her famous honey skin. In addition, in the chorus, Taylor also describes her feelings of hatred: ‘All the time you spent throwing your fists, I was building something. And I can’t forget how she made me feel. I had to scream, curse her in the night sky. But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.’

The conflict between the American singer and Kim has been going on since 2016, but Taylor still frequently recalls this feud along with the feud with Kanye West in her songs. In 2019, Kanye’s ex-wife confirmed she had moved on, however, the Grammy Award-winning star still hasn’t gotten over it. Even in an interview with Time at the end of last year, the female singer still mentioned the old story.

In addition to mentioning Kim Kardashian, Taylor is also said to recount love stories with Joe Alwyn, Matty Healy, Harry Styles, John Mayer and a few love songs for new boyfriend Travis Kelce in the recently released album.
