Jennifer Lopez got candid about what happened between her and Ayo Edebiri.
After an old audio clip of The Bear actress, 28, calling the pop star’s entire career a “scam” made the rounds before they hosted Saturday Night Live together, Lopez, 54, revealed Edebiri tearfully apologized to her for her past comments.

When the two were on the SNL set — the Golden Globe winner was the host, while the “On the Floor” singer was the musical guest — Edebiri approached Lopez in her dressing room to hash things out.
“She was mortified and very sweet,” the Selena actress recalled of the awkward moment. “She came to my dressing room and apologized with tears in her eyes, saying how terrible it was that she had said those things. She felt really badly and loved my performance because we had just done my soundcheck and she actually got to hear me perform. She was just like, ‘I’m so f—— sorry, it was so awful of me.”
“It’s funny,” Lopez continued. “I’ve heard similar things said about me throughout my career, so it really didn’t affect me.”

In a 2020 episode of the “Scam Goddess” podcast, the Hulu star expressed her skepticism over the Second Act alum’s career.
“Today I was actually thinking about one of my favorite scams of all time because J.Lo is performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show,” she said of Lopez. “Her whole career is one long scam.”
“Well, that’s the thing — she thinks she’s on multiple tracks, but it’s not her. I think she thinks that she’s still good, even though she’s not singing for most of these songs…A lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, ‘J.Lo didn’t have time to make it to the studio.’ Like, ‘J.Lo was busy.’ Doing what? Not singing, obviously,” Edebiri explained of what she thought of the businesswoman’s music career.

During the episode of the sketch comedy show, Edebiri called herself out for the shocking statements. “OK. We get it. It’s wrong to leave mean comments, or post comments just for clout, or run your mouth on a podcast, and you don’t consider the impact because you’re 24 and stupid,” she said during one scene where contestants were forced to discuss their past social media behavior.
“But I think I speak for everyone when I say from now on, we’re going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online,” Edebiri added.

Jennifer Garner was seen in good spirits less than 24 hours after her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, aired their dirty laundry in an interview.
She was photographed Wednesday going for a stroll in Santa Monica, Calif., holding a cup of coffee and flashing a big smile.
Affleck, who went to rehab for alcoholism in 2018, told Howard Stern on Tuesday that he “still would’ve been drinking” had he remained married to Garner.

“I was like, ‘I can’t leave because of my kids, but I’m not happy, what do I do?’” he added in the revealing interview. “And what I did was [I] drank a bottle of scotch and fell asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution.”

The former couple was married from 2005 to 2018 and share three children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 12, and 9-year-old Samuel.

The “Batman” star also told Stern that the exes had moments of tension, disagreements over custody, but ultimately split “amicably.”
Affleck was slammed over his remarks because it appeared to many that he had just publicly humiliated the mother of his three children, and placed a big part of the blame for his alcoholism on her.
“When you can’t accept that your drinking problem is because of you, you still have a drinking problem,” one person pointed out on Twitter. “Jennifer Garner didn’t drive Ben Affleck to drink, she did however drive him to rehab probably saving his life.”
Another, referencing the Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Steps program, added, “If Ben Affleck is blaming Jennifer Garner for his drinking he needs to hold himself accountable and do Step 4. And then get on his knees and thank her for putting up with his insufferable ass.”
AA’s Step 4 refers to the need to conduct “a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.”
Some on social media also believed that Affleck’s latest statements should be a warning sign for Jennifer Lopez, the Oscar winner’s rekindled girlfriend.

“Ben Affleck made it sound on Stern that marriage to Jennifer Garner was so insufferable that it drove him to drink,” one person tweeted. “Even if he believes that, you don’t say it for the sake of the kids or to be a person of integrity. Maybe Jennifer Lopez should re-think things.”

However, Garner doesn’t appear as peeved as people on Twitter — in public, at least.
During her morning walk with her kids, she was relaxed and cool, which appears to be her modus operandi when dealing with matters concerning her ex-husband.
Last week, Affleck was seen venting to Garner, and seemed very distressed due to his boisterous arm movements and wide-eyed gazes.
However, the “Alias” alum just listened to him intently and remained calm with her hands at her sides.
In a 2016 Vanity Fair interview, Garner gave a glimpse into her dynamic with Affleck.
“He’s just a complicated guy,” she told the publication at the time. “I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow.”

“This is not a surprise,” claimed Bloch. He went on to explain himself, “Marc is very controlling,” before adding that Lopez 'liked' that quality at the beginning because 'he stood up to her.' Bloch also recalls the time when the couple were in the ‘honeymoon phase’ of their relationship. “In the early days he was very much in love with her and she was with him,” commented the stylist.
Lopez’s stylist then went on to emphasize the time he knew that the two were genuinely having problems in their marriage. The cracks in their blissful marriage apparently began when Lopez’s mother had temporarily relocated to their stunning Long Island Mansion back in 2008. Another person also went on the record about when the former couple had problems. Ed Meyer, who was Lopez’s first husband’s close friend, said, “They also clashed when she learned he owed millions in unpaid taxes on the Long Island Estate."
