“Hmmm,” Badu wrote while reposting the cover on her Instagram Story.

“To Jay Z. Say somethin Jay,” Badu wrote on X, asking Beyoncé’s husband to intervene. “You gone let this woman and these bees do this to me?”

While it’s unclear exactly what about the cover struck a nerve, Badu has been known to rock long beaded braids for decades.

Fans hit out at Badu’s comparison, as one fan wrote, “I love erykah badu but this one sided beef has to stop ?? 😃”

“Erykah Badu is such a hater. Beyoncé has worn braids since the beginning of her career. Erykah does not own braids,” another added.

A third wrote, “What is Erykah’s problem with Beyoncé? She shouted her out in a song and Erykah been shady ever since. I’m so confused.”

“Hmmm,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself wearing a near-identical hat. “I guess I’m everybody stylist.”

The post came just one day after Badu rushed to the comments section of Beyoncé’s Instagram post showing off her hat.

The situation surrounding Ray J’s mention of a potential tour with Brandy and Monica stirred up some controversy. After Ray J expressed his desire for the tour, Monica responded publicly, asking him to refrain from discussing her involvement without a private conversation first. She emphasized the need for professionalism and respect, as well as the importance of any further discussions being conducted in private.

Despite Monica’s initial request, some individuals criticized her reaction, suggesting she was overreacting or being unnecessarily hostile towards Ray J. However, Monica stood her ground, explaining that without a formal contract or deal in place, discussions about the tour could be misleading and potentially harmful to both herself and Brandy’s reputation. She emphasized the importance of real business being conducted rather than speculations fueled by media outlets.

As opinions began to shift in Monica’s favor, many acknowledged her right to correct any misleading narratives and protect her professional interests. Some sympathized with her position, noting that it’s understandable for her to want to handle her own business affairs independently and without unwarranted speculation.

Overall, the situation highlighted the complexities of the entertainment industry and the importance of clear communication and respect among colleagues. Both Ray J and Monica have valid points, and the resolution of their differences will likely depend on further private discussions and mutual understanding.
