Beyonce‘s new album Cowboy Carter is already a huge success on music streaming platforms, one day after its March 29 release.

The 42-year-old music artist has become Spotify‘s most-streamed album in a single day for the year so far.

The collection of new songs, which includes a cover of Dolly Parton’s Jolene, debuted on the app with 76.13 million streams, per fan account Bey Legion.

The account also listed the project as the ‘biggest debut of 2024 by nearly 30%’ and ‘the biggest debut by a Black female artist ever.’

And Cowboy Carter is the sixth highest female Spotify debut of all time.

Sharing a promotional photo of the Texas native in a red, white, and blue latex getup, the company wrote: ‘On Friday, March 29, Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far.

‘This is also the first time a country album holds the title this year.’

Cowboy Carter’s numbers have already eclipsed Beyonce’s July 2022 album Renaissance.

On the day it debuted, Renaissance was streamed 43.2 million times.

The stage was set for the success of the mother-of-three’s latest music as one of its two lead singles, Texas Hold ‘Em, had already been streamed over 200 million times before the full album came out.

Celebrities and fans took to social media to share their excitement when the new music debuted late Thursday night.

Hailey Bieber was among the first famous faces to share a reaction as she posted a screengrab Beyoncé’s take on Dolly Parton’s 1973 hit Jolene.
