Miley Cyrus admitted that touring not only affects her physical health but also has a negative impact on her mental health.
In her Used to be Young series, Miley Cyrus elaborated on the reasons why she decided to stop touring. In particular, the female singer affirmed that touring seriously affected her health.
“The show only lasts one day and that’s what people don’t really understand about touring. The show lasts 90 minutes but it takes a whole life,” Miley started the story.
“If you operate at a certain level of intensity and excellence, recovery and rest time should be equivalent,” the star explained, “There’s a level where I feel like I’m overused.” when on tour. Once at this level, it’s hard to get back to normal.”
The former Disney star then admitted that he was tired of always being the subject of observation every day while on tour. This makes her feel disconnected from the relationships around her.
“It makes me lose my humanity and connection. Without these things, I cannot be an artist and that is my top priority,” the star continued.
The last time Miley Cyrus went on tour was in 2014 with the Bangerz tour. Since then, the female singer has only focused on producing music and performing at stages or festivals.
