Taylor Swift says she is “so grateful” for the historical achievement her Eras Tour had the opportunity to obtain while in Sydney, Australia.

Swift brought her Eras Tour to Australia earlier this month, first for three dates in Melbourne and then for four consecutive nights at Sydney’s Accor Stadium. This tour marked the first time Swift performed in Australia since her tour in support of her Reputation album in 2018.

Her fourth show at Accor Stadium turned out to be a history-making event, both for Swift and for the venue. In a message shared with Swifties on X after the final Sydney show on Feb. 26, the “Anti-Hero” songstress celebrated the “whirlwind of endless magical moments” she’d experienced in Sydney before addressing another way that this string of shows in particular was special.

“I’m so grateful that we got to be the first tour to play Accor Stadium 4 times,” Swift wrote. She went on to praise her opening act, Sabrina Carpenter, and the onstage song mashups that many of her devoted fans have been carefully tracking.

“I’ll never forget singing with Sabrina, the chaotic acoustic mashups, and the crowds that were louder (singing AND screaming) than I thought humanly possible,” Swift’s tweet said. “I want to thank all of the Aussie fans for being so positive and passionate, so funny and wild and FUN. Love you forever.”

Swift was originally only scheduled to perform three dates at Accor Stadium, but the venue elected to add a show due to high demand. Accor Stadium announced in June 2023 that Swift would thus “become the first artist in entertainment history to perform four concerts on one tour at Accor Stadium, Sydney’s home of major events.”

Swift’s achievement at the venue followed another career milestone that she celebrated just a few days earlier while in Melbourne. During her first night at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Swift announced that there were an estimated 96,000 people in attendance, making that concert “the biggest show that we have done on this tour—or any tour I have ever done.”

Swift’s fourth night in Sydney on Feb. 26 was her final Eras Tour show in Australia. She next heads to Singapore for six shows in early March.
