For those seeking last-minute tickets, prices on resale platforms like Viagogo and Stubhub range from over $300 to a staggering $8,000 for the first night alone.

The closer it gets to the event, the higher the ticket prices soar. Additionally, fans must be prepared to cover airfare, accommodation, and other travel expenses.

Some opt for pre-packaged combos that include high-end hotels and show tickets through tour sites like Klook, with prices ranging from over $560 to nearly $4,000.

As of Feb. 28, these packages were already sold out. These combos include ticket packages, shuttle services, and stays at renowned 5-star hotels such as Raffles Hotel, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, and Fairmont Singapore.

Airfares

Even if fans manage to get concert tickets, they still struggle to book flights. Demand for flights and hotels around Taylor Swift’s Singapore tour has shot up by 30%, according to Channel News Asia.

Airlines like Singapore Airlines and Scoot have reported a big jump in ticket demand, especially from Southeast Asia.

Singapore’s Culture Ministry and Tourism Board predict many Taylor Swift fans will visit from other countries. Marina Bay Sands confirmed that all service packages related to Taylor Swift’s tour have been sold out.

Last-minute flight tickets from Hanoi to Singapore cost between VND12 million to VND20 million ($486 to $811) round trip, which is three to four times more expensive than usual.

Hotel prices

Staying in Singapore has always been pricey for tourists. Even the most budget-friendly option, dormitories, used to cost around $30 – $50 per night, with shared facilities.

Regular hotel rooms typically start at $50 – $100 per night, making it more expensive compared to nearby tourist destinations like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

During Taylor Swift’s show, prices soar even higher. Singapore is currently a top-rated destination on booking platforms like Agoda, where rooms are quickly selling out. The cheapest available rooms on Agoda and Booking.com are priced at $80 – $120 per night and are extremely limited.

Other expenses

Just like any other journey, there are extra expenses to consider, such as purchasing a phone SIM card, transportation, meals, and shopping for essentials.

These costs typically amount to over $40, depending on the length of your stay and your preferred level of comfort.

Opting for public transportation like the MRT and buses and using an EZ Link card for convenient payments can help save money due to discounts compared to individual fares.

A trip to catch Taylor Swift’s show in Singapore thus requires a minimum of $1,000 per person to cover all expenses. However, for those opting for premium ticket classes, the cost can be as much as $4,000 per person.
