While Fifty Shades of Grey has viewers across the globe, Liam Neeson will never be one of them.
Liam Neeson Has an Honorable Reason For Not Watching Fifty Shades of Grey Despite Respecting Fellow Irishman Jamie Dornan

Liam Neeson is the gravel-voiced titan of action cinema. Known for his ability to hunt his enemies to death, Neeson has thrilled audiences for years.

Beyond the exhausting chase and explosive encounters, lies a deep well of respect and loyalty, particularly towards fellow actors, including fellow Irishman Jamie Dornan.

Yet, despite this connection, Neeson has revealed he never watched the “Fifty Shades of Grey” that propelled Dornan to international fame. While he truly respects Dornan, he does have a valid reason never to watch the steamy film series.

Liam Neeson, Jamie Dornan, and Dame Halen Mirren once sat down for an interview on The Graham Norton Show. In the interview, a scene from Fifty Shades of Grey starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan was played. After the scene stopped and everyone applauded, Liam Neeson had a revelation to make.

“You know I have to say, I love this guy from The Fall which is fantastic series. I can’t watch those films (Fifty Shades of Grey) because I made a movie with Dakota’s mom many years ago and I used to swing Dakota around at the age of two. So I can’t, I just can’t (watch the movie)” – Liam Neeson on The Graham Norton Show

Neeson has known Dakota Johnson, Dornan’s co-star, since she was a kid. Seeing her in such a grown-up role was not meant for his parental eyes. It’s a sweet gesture, really, showing how much he cares and respects Johnson.
