Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were together for quite a while before the two called it quits back in 2005

Fans of Hollywood stars Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt haven’t been able to contain themselves, ever since the two celebrities shared a sweet, candid moment at the recently held SAG Awards. The incident comes days after the Golden Globes, wherein Jennifer was seen cheering for Brad as he received the Best Supporting Actor awards in a Drama, for his performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Social media users were quick to start gushing over them then, and more so now, that the two were spotted together at the SAG awards.

Now, the world knows that Brad and Jennifer were a big thing back in the day and were even married before they called it off in 2015. And while saw their marriage broke because Brad cheated on Jennifer with Angelina, that was not exactly the case. According to Mirror UK, there were other factors that contributed to the end of Brad and Jennifer’s relationship.

Jennifer recently revealed that there were many issues between her and Brad before Angelina even came into the picture. The former couple’s friends and family shared that they had been struggling for about a year because of their busy schedules, which made it impossible for them to make time for each other and maintain intimacy.

They added that the two just couldn’t be there for each other. Back in 2004, Jennifer was also filming the end of her most famous TV show, Friends, which had taken a toll on her as a major part of her life that she identified with, was coming to an end. She struggled emotionally and needed the support of her husband, Brad, who at the time was busy filming for Mr and Mrs Smith, and couldn’t make time for her. Jennifer shared that he wasn’t even there for him during filming the last episode of Friends.

While Jennifer needed some care, Brad admitted that he wasn’t in the right state of mind, and was bored with his marriage to the starlet. In an earlier interview with the Parade magazine, he had said, “It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage to Jennifer Aniston had something to do with it.

Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.” Many fans of Jennifer took these comments as pointing fingers at his former wife, however, the actor was quick to apologise and clarified that he was the one to blame. He added, “It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for.” He continued that there was also a lot of peer pressure from their friends, who wanted them to be the “perfect couple” but behind closed doors, the two were just like any other average couple with their own set of highs and lows.

An insider close to the them couple also told People magazine, “They gradually lost sight of themselves as individuals. And despite their nice lifestyle and having everything they might want, they weren’t happy. They lost a sense of self.” Another friend of Jennifer and Brad shared that as opposed to reports of Jennifer not wanting a child at the time, it was, in fact, Brad who didn’t want to become a parent. In the end, Brad decided to part ways to figure out who he was even though Jennifer insisted on staying married.
