Vanessa Bryant, the widow of the late great Kobe, defended the pose he chose for the statue and confirmed that the Los Angeles Lakers will honor him with two more sculptures outside of Crypto Arena.

The statue unveiling saw a ton of Kobe’s former teammates attend, including Pau GasolLamar OdomRobert HorryMetta World PeaceGary PaytonJordan Farmar, Larry Nance Jr., and more.

Vanessa did not mince her words when addressing anybody who does not like the pose Kobe chose for his statue, which is him simply pointing to the sky.

“For the record, Kobe picked the pose you’re about to see. So if anybody has any issue with it, tough shit,” Vanessa said.

Two more statues for Kobe Bryant

The statue displays Kobe wearing his original No. 8 jersey, but Vanessa confirmed that No. 24 will be included in the next installment outside Crypto Arena.

There will also be a third statue of Kobe, this one featuring his daughter Gianna, who tragically died in the helicopter crash with him at the age of 13.

Many people attended the first statue unveiling, including Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka, whose beef is seemingly still ongoing.
