Paul Pierce Finally Reveals Truth About His ‘Bathroom Fiasco’

Paul Pierce is an NBA legend, but one of the things he is best known for has nothing to do with his hoops accolades.

Rather, it involves an incident that occurred during the 2008 NBA Playoffs when he was wheelchaired off the court only to return shortly thereafter:

In the years that followed, it seemed like Pierce admitted that a popular theory regarding the situation was true – it all stemmed from him having to go to the bathroom:

This week, during an appearance on the ‘All The Smoke’ podcast, Piece attempted to walk that story back.

“If I had to go to the bathroom or I sh** on myself,” he said.

“You think it would’ve took only two minutes? Come on now, let’s be real. Two minutes for me to change my shorts, my undershorts, wipe my a**, get a wet towel, dry off, shower, put some new stuff on, and go back out there? I literally came out in two minutes of game time.

“So I put the knee brace on, I’m like alright, you know it’s a little painful. So we just setting that record straight right there. And if I did poop my pants, why would I sit in a wheelchair?”

Make of that what you will.

Pierce is an interesting guy. Between his provocative ways with the ladies, his controversial opinion on Kobe Bryant, and his now-infamous stripper video, he is always trending for something.

What will Pierce ultimately go viral for next? Time will tell.
