The 41-year-old recently took to Instagram to share a gift she received from a prominent American personality – one who is set to generate a total of $5 billion for her country.

Vanessa Bryant recently took to Instagram to share a picture with her 15.2 million followers via her Instagram Story. The picture showed a gift that Bryant had received from Taylor Swift. The gift included a couple a couple of sweaters, a few T Shirts and a vinyl record of The singer’s 2010 song Speak Now.

Attaching Swift’s 2014 song Style to the background of her story, she captioned, “Thank You,” and tagged Swift.

The ‘Black Mamba’ and Swift had always shared a close connection. The mutual respect that the Los Angeles Lakers player and the singer held for each other was a well-known fact amongst Swifties and NBA fans alike.

When quoting an example of their friendship, the most used example that fans use is the moment when Kobe surprised Swift with a sweet gesture during her 2015 performance at the Staples Center.

It’s a nice feeling for fans to know that while the NBA Legend may be gone, Swift has not forgotten him and continues to share a bond with his wife.

Taylor Swift continues to rise in prominence. In the 19 years since she began her music career, the singer has achieved international stardom and accumulated a large number of followers, who proudly refer to themselves as ‘Swifties’. Having recently become the second richest self-made woman in the music industry, though, Swift is not planning to stop there.

Freshly embarked on a tour that will cover 131 concerts across five continents, Swift is breaking records for ticket sales in each and every location.

According to Forbes, Swift can add a total of “$500 million to $1.5 billion” to her net worth from her The Eras tour.

Aside from adding more money to Swift’s account, the tour is expected to have a few extra benefits for the US economy. By combining the sale of tickets, hotel costs, transportation, restaurants and many other expenditures that Swifties will undertake just to get a glimpse of their idol, CBS News estimates that the tour will generate an astonishing $5 billion for the US Economy.

In some ways, the singer holds the power to pull countries out of recession with just her voice. In this way her actions are similar to the Mamba foundation run by Kobe Bryant’s family.
