She appeared on Late and Live shortly afterwards and was quizzed by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best over her clash with Marisha Wallace and decision to nominate pal Louis Walsh.

During a bust-up with Layton Williams over the same subjects, Ekin-Su insisted viewers hadn’t seen everything.

But Luke Marsden, who appeared on the civilian version in 2008, took to social media to have his say on the matter.

He said: “I can’t stop thinking about the fact that she blamed the edit and said that she’d got a bad edit and she wasn’t happy how she came across – despite not seeing a single second of footage, because she’d only just been evicted.”

Luke also scathingly urged Ekin-Su to “take a very long break” from reality TV.

It was out of the frying pan and into the fire for Ekin-Su last night as she was relentlessly grilled by AJ, 36, and Will, 39, over her time on the show.

But it was former Strictly star Layton, 29, who really went for it.

Discussing the face-to-face nominations, which left Ekin-Su upset after Marisha, 38, picked her, Layton said: “She had to pick someone just like you picked Louis.

“Louis squashed it and kind of kept it moving and unfortunately, you dragged it on.”

Ekin-Su insisted: “You haven’t seen everything, they cut stuff out.”

But Layton replied: “You’re not going to blame it on the edit.

“One thing you’re not going to do is blame it on the edit. We see what we see and it’s a shame.”

Layton later hit out at criticism over his treatment of Ekin-Su.

He wrote on social media: “To everyone else who is hurt re my views… plz kindly do one x.”
