Marshall D. Teach, better known as Blackbeard, is one of the most fearsome pirates in the One Piece universe. After spending years as part of Whitebeard’s crew, he betrayed Thatch to take the devil fruit Yami Yami no Mi and start his own crew.
Having become one of the four emperors of the seas, Blackbeard continues to fascinate and frighten. But who are these adversaries capable of standing up to such power?
Buggy, the clown with an astronomical bounty
Roger’s former crew member Buggy is the latest to join the race for One Piece. Despite a bounty of 3,189,000,000 berries on his head, Buggy does not have Roger’s temerity but does not lack ambition.
Having consumed the Bara Bara no Mi fruit, he can now separate his body into several parts, which makes him formidable against the many swordsmen of One Piece. His desire to seize One Piece in the final saga highlights an inordinate ambition , although his strength is not comparable to that of Blackbeard. Nonetheless, Buggy’s organization could prove to be a serious opponent on the battlefield.
Edward Weevil, brute force
Self-proclaimed son of Whitebeard, Edward Weevil , with a bounty exceeding 480,000,000 berries, appears after the time skip. Although his claim raises doubts, his strength is reminiscent of a young Whitebeard , which did not go unnoticed by Admiral Kizaru. Although not directly feuding with Blackbeard, Weevil’s intention to avenge his father’s death could make him a formidable enemy for Teach. Currently imprisoned by the Navy, his potential to become one of Blackbeard’s greatest enemies remains intact.
Shanks, the aura of an emperor
Shanks is one of those characters whose mere presence is enough to change the atmosphere. With a bounty of 4,048,900,000 berries, he is one of the few to master all three types of Haki at the highest level. His Haki of Kings even allows him to neutralize the Vision of the Future of others. Shanks’ search for the One Piece will inevitably put him in Blackbeard’s way, promising a confrontation between two titans whose outcome could change the course of history.
Monkey D. Luffy, the lifelong rival
Captain of the Straw Hat crew, Monkey D. Luffy continues to challenge the World Government and aspires more than anything to discover One Piece. With a bounty of 3,000,000,000 berries, Luffy has proven on multiple occasions that he is a worthy opponent. Thanks to the Hito fruit Hito no Mi, Model: Nika , he can transform into the ancient Sun God and, with his Gear 5th, managed to defeat Kaido. The clash between Luffy and Blackbeard is inevitable and promises to be a memorable battle for the conquest of Gol D. Roger’s treasure.
