It seems Caitlin Clark is surpassing records in every game she plays now. She has now passed the NBA’s all-time leading 3-point scorer Stephen Curry‘s collegiate record of 3-point shots made. This is another feather in the cap of the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history.

In tonight’s Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinal, Clark and her Iowa Hawkeyes went up against Penn State. Despite scoring only 24 points in the game, she set the all-time 3-point shots made record in NCAA history with 163. This surpasses Stephen Curry’s record of 162 he set during his time with Davidson Wildcats. Curry set the record during his 3 years at Davidson College before entering the NBA.

Even though Clark has taken a year more to set the record, she has set other records that Curry did not achieve. She is solidifying her stature as the greatest college basketball player ever.

Clark and the Hawkeyes are targeting the NCAA Finals this year too. After single-handedly coming close to winning the title last season, Clark would love to have a crack at it again this year. By the end of her college career, Clark could end up 3rd in the all-time assists record irrespective of gender. She could also surpass Brittney Griner’s record for most field goals. Clark could also earn consensus All-American and Player of the Year honors this year too.

This is the final season Clark will play in the NCAA. She has declared that she will enter the WNBA draft next season. The Indiana Fever has the 1st overall pick, and Clark’s popularity has led to ticket prices doubling for Fever games next year.
