Cam Newton discuss preferring Shaquille O’Neal over Stephen A. Smith while hearing about basketball
There is no denying Stephen A. Smith‘s involvement in the analysis sector of the NBA has been a blessing to basketball lovers. From his ruthless anatomy of the game to hilarious remarks, he has been a fan favorite for a while. But few maybe won’t prefer listening to him – one of them being former NFL star Cam Newton.
The world of sports has grown into this huge platform where the likes of media and podcasts have served as key resources for sharing the bits and pieces on the day-to-day causing happening around sports.
And few have elevated their status as a reporter, being a very well-known figure in their sporting department. For the NBA, Stephen A. Smith is the first name in everyone’s mouth; but not Cam Newton, who publicly stated he does not prefer Smith while hearing about basketball.
Newton said in the latest episode of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’:
If I want to hear about basketball, I want to hear from Shaq… Respectfully, not Stephen A. Smith.Cam Newton said
While Stephen A. Smith voices his opinions which often turn to backlash or dramatic, some fans tune in to hear him for the “harsh facts” that he usually states without any worries about what response it could or can get. But on a personal and professional level, Newton prefers more of Shaquille O’Neal rather than Smith when discussing the game of basketball.

As for Shaq, he was not letting that moment slip as he had a rather savage answer on their rough times. Shaq said as the 4-time championship and Hall of Famer couldn’t hold the urge to respond in a rather witty manner:

2 players who had separate careers, it was Shaq who had the higher ground on this one – and like always, if Shaq sees an opportunity, one knows he is there for the grab.
