2024 is shaping up to be a historic year for Inter Miami.

Not only have they completed the signing of Luis Suarez, but are also in talks to sign free agent wing back Julian Gressel.

What’s more, the Herons are in preliminary discussions about a potential move for ex-Manchester United center back Marcos Rojo.

All these roster additions mean that the expectations will be heavy on Miami next season.

2023 ended on a sour note for the South Florida club.

Although the Herons won its first title in club history in the summer with the Leagues Cup, the men in pink missed out on the playoffs due to fatigue, injuries, and international duty. To prevent this from happening again, the Fort Lauderdale team will refresh its roster.

“We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff, to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club.”

Already, the addition of Suarez and the possible acquisitions of Gressel and Rojo will improve Miami in two areas.

However, with just weeks before preseason is slated to kick off, the Herons still have plenty of work to do.

Nevertheless, Miami’s busy preseason schedule and roster overhaul won’t prevent Messi from winning more silverware in 2024.

Messi and Inter Miami could win up to five trophies next year.

The men in pink will be playing in several tournaments and competitions that could see them add to its trophy cabinet.

MLS Cup, US Open Cup, CONCACAF Champions Cup, Leagues Cup, and the Supporter’s Shield are all up for grabs for Messi and the team.

It remains to be seen if manager Tata Martino could lead them there. But, the current state of the roster shows signs of hope.
