SUMMARY

Given that they recently attained the rank of Yonko, the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece are among the most formidable pirate groups in the entire series.

Every member of the Straw Hat Pirate crew has aspirations of their own that they hope to achieve while journeying.
One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda previously described and illustrated what might happen to the Straw Hat Pirates if they grew old and failed to fulfill their aspirations.

Zoro had the dream to become the strongest Swordsman in the world. Nami wanted to create a map of the entire world. Usopp wanted to become a great warrior of the sea. Sanji wanted to find the All Blue. Chopper wanted to become a doctor who could cure every disease. Robin wanted to unveil the secrets of the Void Century.

What Happens If Straw Hat Pirates Are Unable To Achieve Their Dreams

In the One Piece SBS section, where fans may ask Eiichiro Oda questions about the series and he responds, he illustrated what the Straw Hats would have looked like in their latter years. At 40 years old, Luffy resembles Shanks, but by 60 years old, he resembles Garp. On the other hand, he appears to be an odd old man in the tragic rendition. Zoro didn’t change much other than a few wrinkles and push-down hair, which made him resemble Rayleigh. However, in the other rendition, he appears to be a very elderly droopy guy without hair. On the other hand, Sanji resembles his mentor Zeff, but in the parallel reality in which he is unsuccessful in achieving his wish, he resembles his father Judge.

Nothing changed about Nami and Robin. Though they still appear very young, in the event of a mishap, Nami will resemble Big Mom and Robin will resemble Kureha. Usopp has Yasopp characteristics, however, in the alternate version, he resembles Crocus. Franky, on the other hand, appears acceptable in every timeframe. In the parallel reality, Brook and Jinbe have not yet been sketched by Oda, and Chopper resembles a Bigfoot.
