It was a disappointing loss for the Boston Celtics who fell by a deficit of 1 point against the Cleveland Cavaliers given their record and form this season. And amongst the heap of blaming each other, it was Colin Cowherd who was rather vocal after their loss, blaming it on none other than Jayson Tatum.

After the game, all eyes were on Jayson Tatum, who had a performance on the night, putting up a big fight in their title hopes this season. And maybe he had the chance to win it in the dying moments, but his game-winner failed, allowing Cowherd to lash a huge argument against him and his mentality.


Colin Cowherd said on The Herd, touching on Jayson Tatum’s game-winning shot attempt in the dying moments which eventually led to a loss against Cleveland:

This came after their loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers in which Jayson Tatum had the game-winning shot opportunity. With just one point and a half as a second opportunity, Jayson Tatum would go on for a shot inside the box, missing it and resulting in their defeat. The player even came out for the post-game interview to give his thoughts on the moment.

Jayson Tatum was the center of all attention after their 22-point led blowout against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While the player played a crucial role in their team’s fight, they failed to win it at the end with fans blaming him and the media all questioning his ending moments.

Jayson Tatum said after the game ended:

Thought I got fouled, but they didn’t think I got fouled. It’s tough because we would have had the tip-in… but they always say the game isn’t won or lost on the last play.

Tatum who contributed to 26 points carried his form from earlier but felt short at away grounds, losing by 105-104.


While the question is still in play whether he was fouled during those ending moments or if he could have made a better decision for the game-winning shot, nevertheless it is a painful loss for all of the Boston Celtics.
