Get your bitch a** on the court" Steph Curry Drops Mic in Leaked Audio Spat with D'Angelo Russell

Saturday night’s clash between the Golden State Warriors and the LA Lakers was one for the books. All eyes were on Stephen Curry, who made his return to the court after sitting out three games. The Baby-faced Assassin, as he’s affectionately known, brought with him a level of aggression we rarely see.

The first half was a bit sluggish for Curry, but he found his rhythm in the second. It was in the third quarter when things really heated up. He nailed a tough three-pointer, drawing a foul and converting it into a four-point play. But what really got people talking was his celebration.

As he glanced towards the Lakers bench, there was fire in his eyes. And thanks to a leaked audio, we now know why.

“Hello no, get his a**, get his a**,” bellowed Russell from the sidelines as LeBron took on Curry.

Rather than an immediate retort, Steph Curry waited for the opportune moment. It came after he sank a crucial three-pointer, drawing a foul over Rui Hachimura. As Curry stormed down the court, he stormed down on the Lakers’ point guard, D’Angelo Russell, with the words:

“Get your bitch a** on the court.”

And to top it off, Curry added, “Who you’re talking to?” after Klay Thompson and D’Lo exchanged words.

Though Curry and D’Lo were former teammates during their Warriors stint, Russell’s court time alongside Curry was scant. D’Angelo came aboard in a sign-and-trade deal that sent Kevin Durant packing for the Brooklyn Nets, only to be traded again within a season-and-a-half to the Timberwolves for Andrew Wiggins.

Sent to the Lakers last season, Russell has been in fine form of late, closing this game with 23 points and 13 assists. His season stats include averages of 17.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.

But let’s not forget Curry’s own heroics. Despite nursing an ankle sprain, he showed up when it mattered most, dropping 31 points on 50.0% shooting. And the Warriors desperately needed it.

With play-in tournament and playoff seedings up for grabs, this was a must-win clash for the rivals. Both the Golden State Warriors and Lakers had 31 losses each. The Lakers held a slight edge due to being five games over .500, while the Warriors were three games over .500.

With the season series tied at 1-1, the Warriors needed a win, especially with a rematch scheduled for Apr. 3. Losing on Saturday would’ve put them in a tough spot to salvage the season series and gain an advantage if they ended the regular season with the same record as the Lakers.

Yet, it was Curry who carried the Warriors with a stellar 31-point performance, shooting at an impressive 50.0%. While the game remained tight throughout, the Dubs managed to pull ahead in the third quarter, swinging the momentum in their favor. Curry’s heroics not only secured the win but also helped fend off LeBron James’ 40-point onslaught.
