Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is good friends with LeBron James, though he can’t help but be disappointed with the Los Angeles Lakers forward over his recent actions.
James recently announced his podcast with former NBA star JJ Redick, a decision that surprised Green.
Why Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green Is Upset With LeBron James
In the latest episode of his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, the Warriors forward opened up about James and Redick’s newly announced podcast called “Mind the Game.”
While Green admitted that he’s excited to watch the new show, he couldn’t help but feel a little bit sad that James still hasn’t appeared on his show. Sure enough, it looks liek Dray has already sent multiple invitations to his friend, though to no avail.
“I must say, I am a little upset that LeBron James is like going on the podcast and he still hasn’t been on The Draymond Green Show,” Green said, before noting that he’ll find some solace from the fact that he could probably get an opportunity with LeBron in the future since he knows very well how podcasts work.
It will definitely be interesting to see Green and James in a podcast together. Imagine all the revelations and potential stories they will share together.
For now, however, fans will probably have to wait and hope for the best when it comes to James guesting on Green’s show. After all, LeBron will probably be busy for some time with his new initiative with Redick. Maybe a collaboration between The Draymond Green Show and Mind the Game could work?
LeBron James’ Podcast Mind the Game
LeBron James announced the release of his podcast with JJ Redick on Monday, with the first episode dropping Tuesday. On X (formerly Twitter), the Los Angeles Lakers star teased that the show is “for everyone who truly loves our beautiful game.”
On its official description on Apple Podcast, Mind the Game was said to be a show discussing the “X’s and O’s” of the game. As Draymond Green said, it tackles the “nerdy” stuff about basketball.
“Presented by Uninterrupted and ThreeFourTwo Productions, Mind The Game is an entry into the heralded basketball minds of LeBron James and JJ Redick. The two sit down weekly to discuss the state of the game, dissect X’s and O’s, and wax poetic about the game they love,” the Apple description reads.
It remains to be seen what’s beyond the Mind the Game podcast, but considering LeBron’s immense popularity and incredible game IQ, as well as Redick’s knowledge of the game, there’s no denying that it will be a sure-fire hit.
