“They Are Perfect Complements to Each Other,” Bob Myers Longs for a Pairing of Stephen Curry and LeBron James
LeBron James and Stephen Curry are two of the biggest names in the NBA right now. LeBron is currently signed to the Los Angeles Lakers and Stephen Curry is serving Golden State Warriors as a Point Guard since 2009. Recently, Warriors tried to acquire James but the deal could not materialize.
Although we have seen James and Curry play together many times in the NBA All-Star games, most recently during the 2024 NBA All-Star game between Team East and Team West, where Curry and James played together for Team West, the two have never played together for the same team in an NBA regular season.
Bob Myers wants LeBron James and Stephen Curry to team up
Popular ESPN Analyst Bob Myers recently talked about how he wishes for LeBron James and Stephen Curry to team up. Myers said, “You know what I wish? I wish we could have seen them on the same team for one season, because you know why? They’re perfect complements to each other.”
Steph Curry explained his relationship with LeBron
LeBron James and Stephen Curry’s rivalry began in 2015 when the Golden State Warriors defeated Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The following year, Cavs defeated Dubs in a historic comeback which made the rivalry more heated and intense that led to some trash talk from the finals MVP LeBron.

Although after this, Warriors went on to win two back-to-back championships by defeating Cavs pretty easily but the rivalry between Curry and James was a treat to watch for the fans during those years.
Talking about their rivalry, Curry said “It is going to be really hard to find two teams going four years in a row in a Finals, just the way the NBA landscape is going, that will go down in history as four amazing years.” He added, “He is a great dude, great friend and a great competitor.”
Stephen Curry and LeBron James are two of the greatest basketball players of this generation and it is a dream of millions of fans around the world to watch them play together in one team, which could be possible if Lakers manage to get LeBron’s son Bronny James in the upcoming draft, as LeBron wants to play his last year with his son.
