The Lakers lost their last matchup in a blowout game against the Kings. Hence, this win was important for the team as they went ahead.
In James’ absence, D’Angelo Russell took matters into his own hands by scoring 44 points in 38 minutes. To help Russell, Lakers star Anthony Davis scored a double double, adding 22 points and 13 rebounds.
With an average first quarter, the Lakers caught fire and scored 40 points in the second quarter, taking the halftime lead. The game was close, as the Lakers took a one-point lead with six seconds left.
But the game was won because of the Laker’s newest addition, Spencer Dinwiddie. After the one-point Laker’s lead, the Bucks took a timeout. Coming out of the timeout, Damian Lillard shot the ball with two seconds left, but the shot was blocked by Dinwiddie to secure the win.
