Qerim resided in the New York studios, while Sharpe and Smith were at the Los Angeles set.

First Take had a debate about Mahomes and if he’s considered the greatest of all time, or the GOAT.

The Chiefs signal-caller earned his third Super Bowl MVP on Sunday after leading the team to a 25-22 overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday’s big game.

Sharpe doesn’t believe Mahomes is the GOAT, but he also said that the Chiefs star “proved he’s the best quarterback currently playing in the league and it’s not close.”

Stephen A. didn’t think that the 28-year-old will win a third straight title.

And Sharpe took issue and pointed his finger at his colleague over his take.

“I have nothing to say if Patrick Mahomes wins three straight,” Smith told Sharpe.

“So don’t you point at me as if you got a case to make.”

Both were then loud as Qerim yelled numerous times at the duo, “Hold on!”

Sharpe then asked if he thought Mahomes would be the GOAT after winning three straight rings, and Stephen A answered, “I’d have to.”

At the age of 28, Mahomes has three Super Bowl MVPs and two MVPS on his resume.

He threw for 333 passing yards along with two touchdowns and one interceptions, while rushing for 66 yards.

Tom Brady is considered the player Mahomes is attempting to pass for the GOAT claim.

The 46-year-old retired last February after winning seven Super Bowls, and one of those happened against Mahomes in 2021.
