Isiah Thomas tells Michael Jordan to apologize

NBA legend Isiah Thomas has asked the legendary Michael Jordan to apologize. The former Piston star recently appeared on the “Draymond Green Show,” where he gave an interview to the Golden State Warriors star. Green asked Thomas about his relationship with Jordan and inquired if there was a fix for it. Thomas blatantly expressed his thoughts and laid out the only way to fix it.

No, This dude got on National television, International Television and called me an A**hole. Somebody who has been really good to him. Until he apologizes on International television, there is no conversation. You can not apologize and have a private dinner. When you embarrassed me publically and you didn’t mean it, say it publically. If you meant it, let it stand, I am good with that,” said Isiah on Draymond’s show.

He highlighted the derogatory remarks Michael Jordan made about him in the documentary “The Last Dance.” He demanded a public apology for the remarks and stated that it was the only way to fix things between him and the former Bulls star.

The rivalry between Isiah and Jordan

The rivalry between Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan dates back to the late 1980s and early 1990s. Jordan was a rookie in the league, whereas Isiah was an established player for the Detroit Pistons. Thomas and Jordan didn’t see eye to eye, as it was Thomas who came up with a tactic to shut down the rising rookie MJ in his initial years.

The rivalry was made more intense when the Pistons, under the leadership of Thomas, walked out without shaking the hands of the Bulls in the 1991 playoffs. Jordan has often criticized Thomas and his ways publically, the most noticeable one being his 2009 Hall of Fame induction speech. However, both of them acknowledge each other’s capabilities on the court and have respect for each other as players.
