Charles Barkley had a one-word description for New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers following CNN’s shocking report on the four-time NFL MVP.

CNN’s Pamela Brown and Jake Tapper broke a story on the Jets QB’s alleged belief where it pertains to the Sandy Hook shooting this Wednesday. According to the aforementioned, Rodgers doesn’t think the incident was real and reckons it was a “government inside job.”

Barkley addressed the report on Wednesday night while speaking to Gayle King on CNN’s ‘King Charles’, branding Rodgers “insane.”

“And anybody who thinks that, you hope nobody ever thinks that,” he said. “It’s just painful for the parents. But anybody who thinks that, I would think they would be insane, I’m not gonna lie. You have to be insane to think that.”

Rodgers has since pushed back on the report, claiming he has never thought the events did not take place.

“As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place.

“Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community,” he wrote in a tweet.

The bombshell report came out just 24 hours after it was announced that Rodgers could be Robert F. Kennedy’s running mate in this year’s presidential elections.

Coincidence? Nah… can’t be.
