Before releasing an album expected to “storm” the country music industry, this week Beyonce became the first black female artist to win the top spot on the US Billboard chart in this genre.

The song “Texas Hold ‘Em” by the “Grammy Queen” made a strong impression in her halftime performance at the Super Bowl championship game earlier this month and debuted on the charts Billboard at number one in the “Hot Country Songs” category. Her second single “16 Carriages” also entered that chart and peaked at number 9.

According to Billboard magazine, before the victory of the song Texas Hold ‘Em, no black female artist or biracial female artist had ever topped that chart.

Beyonce’s new record album, also her 8th album, will be released on March 29 and is currently simply called “Act II”.
