He recently joined his family and fiancée Nicola Peltz in supporting his dad David’s football team as they played against his former club LA Galaxy in Florida on Sunday.

But it seemed the festivities took its toll on Brooklyn Beckham‘s health as he took to his Instagram stories on Tuesday to share images of his painful-looking marks on his back after getting cupping therapy.

The budding photographer, 22, was seen looking away from the camera as he displayed the large rounded bruised spots dotted around his upper back.

While another black and white snap saw the marks on Brooklyn sitting amongst his extensive tattoo collection as he posed in front of a mirror in his bathroom.

Brooklyn didn’t explain the reasons for his treatment or give any further details about his cupping session.

What is Cupping?

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine, which originated in China, in which a local suction is created on the skin with the application of heated cups.

The treatment is said to help decrease pain and inflammation, increase blood flow, reduce stress and even help things like skin issues or cellulite.

The cups used  can either be bamboo, glass, silicone or earthenware, and the treatment can be wet or dry.

Cupping usually leaves red, circular marks in the treated area, which usually heals in around 10 days, but can take up to a month to disappear.

According to Healthline.com, patients could also experience pain at incision sites or feel lightheaded or dizzy shortly after their session.

Brooklyn isn’t the only famous name to have tried cupping as a host of other stars have turned to the alternative treatment.

Last month, Dwayne Johnson recently tried out the ancient Chinese body work technique of cupping for the first time, with the star joking: ‘Always looking for new techniques to keep this 250million year old dinosaur body balanced and optimal’.
In March 2019, Strictly judge Shirley Ballas shared snaps of herself getting the treatment in a bid to tighten her skin and relieve stress

Inter Miami lost 3-2 to its challenger, but that didn’t dampen the Peltz and Beckham’s spirits as they shared a series of sweet photos from the game.

Actress Nicola, 26, looked flawless as she cuddled Harper Beckham, nine, after watching the ‘amazing’ Inter Miami game with her fiancé Brooklyn.

While she bore a striking resemblance to her mother Claudia who sported a similar hairstyle and framed her visage with reflective shades in another snap.

Her father and businessman Nelson, 78, beamed as he wrapped his arms around the ladies for a photo which Nicola captioned: ‘What an amazing game day with my family [heart emoji]’.

Brooklyn packed on the PDA with his fiancée in one snap, while in another Nicola flaunted her figure in a tiny black bikini before posing topless to show off her sunburn on her back.

Photographer Brooklyn took to Instagram to proudly show off the American actress’ gesture, which featured his name inked on her body in elegant script.
