Their famed Beckingham Palace reportedly had leopard print walls and mirrored ceilings – but the Beckhams’ £12million Cotswold mansion is much more muted and sophisticated.
Viewers got an glimpse into the Soho Farmhouse-inspired home as part of their new Netflix docuseries Beckham – where the couple showed off their very expensive taste and eye for classic designers, hardwood flooring and exposed brick walls.
The couple, who share children Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12, snapped up their country retreat for a reported £6.15 million in December 2016.
After the Beckhams’ improvements, the property boasts a sauna, plunge pool, football pitch, gym, swimming pool and £50,000 safari tent in the grounds for entertaining. It is now thought to be worth about £12 million.
‘This is such a step away from any kind of footballer’s home cliché, it’s beautifully curated, smart and yet not flashy,’ interiors expert Benji Lewis told MailOnline.
Here, MailOnline looks at the very lavish home.

‘Versailles style parquet flooring will be softer underfoot than stone or polished concrete whilst also providing some acoustic baffling in what could be quite an echo-ey space,’ Benji told FEMAIL.
‘I love the colours in the upholstery in the living room, they’ve stuck to a very earthy feel in here – using dark green, shades of greige, chocolate and grey
‘We know they’re very family focussed, the gallery wall of black and white photos likely comprises pictures of happy times and by using only black frames things look ordered in spite of the random arrangement,’ he added.

‘They’ve focussed on creating an informal design for the kitchen space, using built-in units along one wall and including a painted antique freestanding cupboard the other side of the bread oven,’ Benji explained.
‘Interestingly for such a polished couple, they’ve been unafraid to choose open shelving and glazed doors; I only propose this to people who are happy to keep things looking well ordered otherwise it just looks messy.
‘The feel they’ve created is smart rustic – blending textures like exposed stone on the walls with polished marble on the worktops and stripped pine on the table creates plenty of interest while using Shaker style kitchen units and antique brass cup handles on the doors is really homely.
‘Using dark colours on kitchen units is a good strong look; by taking a dark colour onto the walls as well, you can really amp up the dramatic feel.
‘The collection of antique bread boards – hung on the wall – whilst clearly not for use, are brilliant as well décor.
‘The use of ambient light is interesting, clearly fond of a table lamp we can see that they also like country feeling gathered shades,’ he added.
