Once upon a time, Antonio Brown was a promising NFL WR who played for 10 seasons and registered more than 13,000 receiving yards and 94 TDs. But he became marred by controversies that ultimately ended his career when he exited the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets. And according to him, Tom Brady was the root of his discontentment in Tampa Bay.

To this day, Brown holds a grudge against the NFL GOAT. This is why he pulled off the controversial dig at Brady during his divorce from ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. Is he not sorry about his actions? And what was it that made the king of controversies so bitter toward Tom Brady?

Antonio Brown admits his actions were immature

Amidst the hot news that was circulating regarding Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s divorce, Antonio Brown sparked fire by penning a book titled “Daddy Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and posting a photo of him in bed with a Gisele look-alike. Tom Brady then labeled him “selfish” and “immature,” which Brown recently addressed on YouTube. He admitted to his past actions, saying, “I just feel like it was immature because it was a human, immature thing.”

Antonio Brown claimed his actions were not of malicious intent but more for entertainment. However, although he admitted his immaturity, he’s not ready to apologize because the stunt was to get back at Tom Brady for what he claimed the 46-year-old did to him during their time in Tampa Bay. So, what really went down between them?

Antonio Brown and Tom Brady’s beef

After getting buried in controversies and consecutive failures to stay committed to NFL teams, Tom Brady reportedly convinced the Bucs to sign him up. The two began a friendly relationship and secured their first Super Bowl with the team in 2021. But things quickly escalated to a rocky patch after the SB win.

As Brown said on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, “Now when we get the ring in 2021, the next year I’m the last guy that signed. My agent, Ed Wasielewski, is getting called, cursed out by Tom Brady over why he is pushing back for the contract for scraps.” The reason Brown took this so personally is that Brady allegedly was the one who brought him in to win Super Bowls, and to be humiliated like that pulled the wrong nerve.
