Jelly Roll is one of the biggest country stars in the game today, but it was his wife, Bunnie Xo, who was creating the social media stir Wednesday.

Bunnie has been open about her past as a sex worker, and to some extent that was a past that wasn’t that long ago. Because she took to her Facebook on Wednesday to commemorate her one-year anniversary from fully leaving the industry.

“I was SO scared to let go of that part of my life and leave behind the money I was making — wasn’t sure how I’d make up that part of my business,” she wrote. “But I had faith and let God have it & he made sure I made it back 10 fold. So thankful to all of you who believe in me & sub to my patreon, but merch, listen to the pod & engage daily w/me. THANK YOU.”

She wrote that while reposting a March 6, 2023 post that she made letting everyone know she shut down her “spicy site.”

That post created some questions among Jelly Roll’s fans, though, so Bunnie Xo came back later in the day to address those with another lengthy on her Facebook account. Specifically, it seems, fans wanted her to explain how she and Jelly Roll had been married for seven years when she just gave up sex work a year ago.

“A lot of ppl seem to be confused as to how I just retired from SW last year because I’ve been married for 7 years lol,” she wrote. “So here’s the answer. I’m an open book & don’t mind letting y’all (know).

“I have always worked & made money on my own, when I married J I refused to give up my independence & rely solely on him,” she continued. “And to be honest he never once asked me to. He knew how important it was to me to make my own money. But he did always say, ‘One day baby you won’t have to do this anymore.’”

She then explained that in 2018 she started her own Bunnie Xo brand that she funded with money she made in sex work.

“2020 came around and I retired from seeing clients and having sugar daddies & started my Onlyfans which made me millions,” she wrote. “I was crazy the amount of money that site made me in such a short time.”

She said that in 2022 her Bunnie Xo brand started making as much money as her money from sex work.

“So I couldn’t justify still having that part of my life when the new brand I created was thriving so much,” she wrote. “I also didn’t want to be the only wife in the country music scene whose (butt) was on the internet.”

She reiterated that Jelly Roll never asked her to make the move, but that she is retired “100%” and focused on her brand.

“Best decision I ever made,” she wrote. “The rest is history baby!”

Her explanation had more than 2,000 responses which seemed overwhelmingly supportive.

“You really don’t owe anybody an explanation,” one fan responded. “What you do is your business and if your husband supports you 100 with what you do that is all that matters. That being said one of the many things I love about you is how open and honest you are. You are an inspiration.”
