The king of the Patriots reveals the ugly truth behind the curtain and the fans have been left stunned. The New England Patriots have been a longstanding figure of sheer monstrosity and dominance for over 2 decades. But with the newest docuseries by Matthew Hamacheck releasing all the intimate details of Belichick’s team, the fans are led to believe that it wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns off the field.

Bill Belichick, the former head coach for the New England Patriots, spent 24 years of his life with the team. It is safe to say that during that time, he and Brady established a relationship that would go on to win 6 Super Bowls together, the most any team in the NFL has ever won. And yet, what has always seemed like a loving relationship between the two might have had its share of bitter events as well, as retold by Robert Kraft in the documentary.

Rober Kraft shares that Bill Belichick didn’t want Tom Brady

On the last and final episode of the ‘The Dynasty: New England Patriots’ docuseries, Robert Kraft was a part of a segment that saw Brady celebrating a massive win with his teammates. In a statement that will rile up all the fans of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick alike, Kraft talked about how the veteran coach didn’t want the QB to be on the team anymore.

He said, “He didn’t want Tommy there. And so, when you come to the decision, you know, Brady or Belichick, I thought back to the Eagles Super Bowl.” These words will echo in the fans of the Patriots for a long time now as the relationship between the coach and the star QB is being severely doubted. Moreover, these words by Kraft led to speculations about whether that was the reason why Brady announced his exit from the team in 2023. Additionally, Belichick and Kraft’s words on Brady’s departure further strengthened the claims that there was a lot of tension between the staff members and the 7-time winning SB quarterback.

Bill Belichick seemed adverse to Brady’s exit from the Pats, as did Kraft

There is no doubt about the fact that Brady would’ve preferred to end his career with the Patriots. After he announced his retirement from football with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023, the fans went into a frenzy to try to get him back to the Patriots, just so he could end his 23-year career with his home team. The love garnered so many eyeballs that even Kraft talked about bringing Brady back, just for a day.

He said, “We will do everything in our power to bring him back, have him sign off as a Patriot. Not only do I want it, our fans are clamoring for it. To us, he is always has been and always will be a Patriot.” But while these words came off as a sweet gesture towards him, both Kraft and Belichick seemed heartless when Brady hung up his cape as a Patriot.

Upon hearing about his exit for the first time in 2020, Belichick didn’t have a lot to say except for, “At that point in time, I think he made the right and the best decision.” It’s almost bewildering to hear a coach say this about a son-like figure who he trained for over 2 decades. Moreover, Kraft’s faux love for Brady’s retirement seems bitter in retrospect since he claimed that it was nothing but business about his prized QBs departure. Kraft said, “This is life and it’s what happens.” Thus, the 10-episode docuseries continues to make waves with a series of controversies and scandals behind the curtain as the fans await a response from Brady and Belichick alike.
